Ms. McCorkle has been awarded the highest rating (AV) by Martindale-Hubbell, which is reflective of her peers’ perception of her legal skills.  In 2017, Ms. McCorkle was selected as one of the “10 Best Personal Injury Attorneys” in Wyoming by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys.  In 2014, Ms. McCorkle was elected the Wyoming State Bar Commissioner for the First Judicial District by the attorneys in her district, a position she still holds.  Ms. McCorkle is an adjunct professor at Laramie County Community College and teaches Tort (injury) law.

Ms. McCorkle routinely represents professionals in professional licensing disputes, particularly attorneys with issues involving the Office of Bar Counsel and legal malpractice lawsuits.  Ms. McCorkle has written and argued numerous cases before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and enjoys appellate work irrespective of whether she handled the initial case.

Over the last several years, Ms. McCorkle has been involved in several major cases, including the watershed case of Osborne v. Ed. 2d 788 (2016).  Ms. McCorkle has also been involved in numerous personal injury and wrongful death cases.  In 2014, Ms. McCorkle defeated a motion for summary judgment on a co-employee case, which requires a showing of willful and wanton misconduct. The insurer then filed a declaratory judgment action arguing it did not have to defend or indemnify its insured.  Ms. McCorkle defeated the insurer in the District Court and in the Tenth Circuit, after which, the insurer settled the case for 2.5 million dollars for Ms. McCorkle’s clients. Peerless Indem. Ins. Co. v. Cloud Peak Hosp., LLC, No. 14-CV-99-SWS, 2015 WL 11022848 (D. Wyo. Jan. 2, 2015), aff'd sub nom. Peerless Indem. Ins. Co. v. Swanner, 651 F. App’x 785 (10th Cir. 2016).

Prior to joining Kline, McCorkle & Pilger, Ms. McCorkle prosecuted for the Laramie County District Attorney’s Office during which time she gained extensive litigation and trial experience, handling numerous hearings, bench trials and jury trials for hundreds of cases.  Immediately after law school, Ms. McCorkle clerked for the Honorable Clarence A.
